A Place for Everyone

Galiano Community School is a K-8 school located on lovely Galiano Island and is part of the SD64 School District. Galiano Island is part of the Southern Gulf Islands on the Salish Sea, between mainland Vancouver and Vancouver Island.

The school is situated in a rural setting, surrounded by 15 acres of beautiful and diverse forest. Within the school grounds you'll find two BCAA "Play Here" award-winning playgrounds with an inspiring story,  a beautiful community garden, a large sports field, a tennis court and basketball court. We're just next door to the Galiano Library.

As a community school, family and community involvement helps to enhance and enrich the learning experiences of our kids. As part of School District 64, students of Galiano not only develop foundational skills and competencies, but also pursue various learning paths for personalized learning experiences.
